Cute fan bad design
I bought this fan a year ago at a Walmart. When i took it out of the box i noticed a rattling sound. A piece of the fan had broken off and was stuck in the fan. The breeze was not very good and when i laid down at night i could not feel it. too tall for nightstand i guess. It also gets clogged with dust. I try to clean some of it by using a q-tip but it didn't help much. It broke today and is now useless. Not gonna buy that again.
good little fan
I bought one of these fans (not from Amazon) about four or five years ago and it has run continously 9 hours a day (except during the cold months) since. The only reason I don't give it 5 stars is that it never did oscillate properly. I didn't buy it for the oscillation feature so that doesn't bother me. It is actually 2 fans stacked and they can be pointed in different directions so I get plenty of coverage on my desk. It is getting a little weak on the lowest speed so I intend to buy another one just like it (from Amazon this time).
Not a Storm Wind
The force of the air coming out of this thing is a little on the low side... but it supposed to be.... no sense in blowing papers all over your desk. I have positioned this fan on the floor next to the A/C return where it sucks in all of the A/C air and blows it around the room. The temperatures in this room are now reading 5-8 degrees cooler than when I had my huge loud box fan in the same location. The Oscillation works smooth and strong. And the two portions are easily adjusted. Great little fan for 15 bucks.
Stop Working
I love this fan until after less than 2 months, it won't come on. I'm do not know what to do.
Good Concept But Poor Design
This fan blows, but in a bad way. Bought this thing from the blue box store for about $20. Took it home and plugged it in to find that it makes a sort of low rattling plastic noise while oscillating. Took it back to the blue box store for exchange and the second one did the same thing. The third time I just took it back for a full refund. The noise happens during the oscillation mode on low or high speed. Probably made from cheap China parts instead of using real metal ball bearings. The footprint of the fan is small enough to fit on a desk, but the noise is rather annoying unless your deaf. Final thoughts-This fan circulates air nicely, but the grating rattling noise during oscillation will drive you insane unless your deaf.
